gardening in a community, 在社区里种花种草，可以联系到社区环境，it can make the environment better,  environment的重要性就好说了，可以联系健康问题，可以让心情更好。同时，增加园艺还是需要维护的，要雇佣更多物业人员，增加了工作。

跟孩子做游戏，可以说喜欢小孩，跟小孩在一起的时候会比较放松，回忆童真，还可以说对小孩的发展有好处，可以给小孩提供一些课上学不到的东西，比如团结。

打扫卫生，可以具体说城市里某个地方卫生需要整顿， 通过志愿者服务，可以帮忙解决那里脏乱差的问题；还可以锻炼自己，同时把一个地方打扫干净是比较有成就感的。

9. What is the one style of clothing that the students in your school tend to wear? Why do you like this style of clothing? Include specific reasons and details in your response.

In my opinion, style of clothing reflects both popularity, and personality. Students in my school tend to wear a ‘Preppy Style’. This style is often associated with young students who are engaged and excited about learning, but who like to show some individuality and status. For example, students sport brand named labels of shirts, sweaters, jackets, and slacks. They also wear a certain type of flat shoe, tennis or sneaker. Western brands such as Aeropostale, Old Navy, and Hollister have popular ‘preppy styles’. ‘Preppy students’, as they are often referred to, like to be seen and known as studious. They always carry their backpacks, and may even wear ‘eye glasses’ to complete their ‘preppy’ look. I like this style of clothing because whether students are genuinely ‘preppy’ or just like to mimic the look, the competitiveness seems healthy. ‘The Preppy style’ student may aspire to better grades.

I would consider creativity as the most admirable personal quality in the modern world because it can be the difference between success and failure. Because of intense competitions in the market, every enterprise and venture needs creativity to succeed, whether they are car manufacturers or software companies, large scale engineering projects or financial service providers. For example, Apple would never have been successful without its founder Steve Jobs, a creative genius who launched a series of innovative products. Another great person known for creativity is Deng Xiaoping, the designer of the innovative "one country, two systems" solution to resolving the Hong Kong issue.

TASK 2

1. Do you agree or disagree with the statement that personality changes as one grows older?

这题看似没有讲过，其实完全可以往我们之前练习过的题目去靠，可以从三个角度去想，少年时比较固执，会犯下很多错误。中年比较成熟，到了晚年，反而有颗童趣之心，这样层层递进，不失为一份好的回答。

Many people say that personality is genetically determined, but I believe 

that it changes with age. For example, as people reach middle age, they 

tend to become more mature and less dependent on others. They care 

more about their work, responsibilities, and those in their lives. When 

people get old, they are less energetic and become less open to new ideas 

and concepts. These are all personality changes that naturally occur when 

people get older. Another possible factor of personality change is 

education. As knowledge accumulates over the years, people's 

understanding of the world or of themselves may both change, leading to 

a different pattern of personality 

2. Which do you prefer to visit a new place you have never been before or return to a place you have traveled.

When I have the choice to visit a new place I have never been to or return to a place I hve, I prefer to go to the new place.

The first reason for this is that new things excite me and when I arrive in a new place, I find the smells ,voices and scenes very interesting. I usually go where the locals go sa I see the real life versus the facade presented to tourists.

The second reason is that I already have pictures from the previous places I have visited, so if I want to remember them, I can just review the pictures. This is far cheaper than travel back to the places.

3. Some people prefer a high-paying job that requires them to travel a lot while others prefer a job that pays less but doesn't require them to travel. Which do you prefer and why? Please include specific examples and reasons in your response.

这里以选择高收入经常出差的为例。

经济原则：高收入可以给我们带来更多的物质生活，尽管会出差，但是可以更好地支撑自己的家庭，买自己想买的东西。

娱乐原则：出差可以去很多不同的地方，开阔视野，同时也算是一种旅游，在百忙中肯定会有时间欣赏一下各地风景。

4. Some students prefer a grade that is based on many short assignments, while others prefer a grade based on one or two long assignments. Which one do you prefer and why?

I prefer to write one or two long assignments for a semester for the following reasons. First of all, this means I’ll have more time preparing them. That’ll give me a chance to do plenty of research. It can take quite a long time to go through reference books and academic journals in a library for the perfect information sometimes. In addition, I’ll have more time to polish my work after the first draft. Comments can be obtained through peer reviews and visits with my professor. That’s going to help me make improvements to my paper thus ensuring me a good grade.

解析：agree：其实当今的确是家长给孩子的压力更大，我们可以摆脱直接回答第一第二的方式，可以先做一下铺垫，把压力大的表现说一下，比如children have to go to the cram schools everyday even at weekends in order to get good mark in the examination ,leaving them no time to relax themselves and hang out with their friends.然后再说出为什么，分析原因可以从10大原则，学习经济，工作效率，方便交友，性格健康，减压环保，出发去想答案。

Disagree：不同意其实不是很好说，但是可以换个角度，比如说除了学习别的不需要操心，然后拿过去对比，过去的孩子除了学习还要帮着家长干活挣钱，原因就是现在都是独生子，还有10大原则，比如家里条件好了。
